The Netherlands Court of Audit investigates the management and control of funds received from the European Union (EU) and accountability for them. We also audit the expenditure of EU funds and the results of EU policy in the Netherlands. The Court of Audit thinks the use of these public funds must be properly accounted for and that money should be spent effectively. This file on the European Union presents the results of our EU audits and explains the role of audit institutions in auditing the use of EU funds.
