Sale of ABN AMRO subsidiaries for European Commission remedy

At the request of the House of Representatives, the Court of Audit has investigated within a week the figures and calculations underlying the proposed sale by ABN AMRO of IFN Finance and New HBU to Deutsche Bank. In its report published on 3 December 2009 the Court of Audit considers the relationship between the proposed sale, the European Commission's remedy and the announced integration of ABN AMRO and Fortis Bank Nederland.
