Food Safety and Animal Feed

Food safety is reasonably well assured in the Netherlands. But since two ministers are responsible for the issue it is sometimes uncertain who has final responsibility. Organisations that are responsible for controlling food safety should have a better insight into the possible risks to public health. Internationally, there are differences in the practical application of safety standards. These findings are presented in a report entitled Voedselveiligheid en diervoeders (Food Safety and Animal Feed) that the Court published today (8 December 2005).
