Collection of employee insurance contributions

Transferring the collection of employee insurance contributions from the UWV benefit agency to the Tax and Customs Administration will entail few risks.


The Court of Audit has concluded that transferring the collection of employee insurance contributions from the UWV benefit agency to the Tax and Customs Administration on 1 January 2006 will entail few risks regarding the revenues collected. This is because there will be no fundamental change in the system. Some conditions must be met, however, for the transfer to be smooth: measures must be taken before 2006 to ensure the reliability of policy administration at the UWV, the Ministry of Finance must further work out the audit policy and agreements must be made on performance indicators and the exchange of information between the bodies concerned and with the House of Representatives. The Court of Audit carried out this investigation at the request of the House of Representatives.
