Integrity management needs intensification.
Integrity Management, a base-line measurement in 2004
PDF, 1487 kB
The integrity management system in place at Dutch ministries needs a significant intensification. The attention paid to the integrity of government has increased since the Court of Audit published its first integrity reports in 1996 and 1998 but few risk analyses, for example, are still being carried out. Moreover, few infringements of integrity are registered centrally and policy evaluations are scarce.
Integrity is a precondition for confidence in public administration and therefore an important element in the Court of Audit's audit strategy for 2004-2009. The first step has been a base-line measurement of the core ministries and a number of institutions.
