Support for the Hungarian State Audit Office
The national audit office in Hungary has received an EU subsidy for a development project aimed at raising ethical standards in the Hungarian public sector. The specific aim of the project is to produce an ‘integrity risk map’ of the public sector in Hungary that is publicly available for consultation on the internet and is based on GIS technology.
The Hungarian audit office is building on the results of a previous EU project, known as ‘Twinning Light’, which we undertook in conjunction with our Hungarian counterparts in 2007-2008. We will be supplying further technical assistance for this project in 2011, inter alia by helping to design a course curriculum. The Public Sector Integrity Office is partnering us on this particular project.
